Who would you give a seat to at your table?

When contemplating who I'd invite to join me at the table, I found myself drawn to the idea of extending the first invitation inward – to myself, and more precisely, to my own mind. It dawned on me that before opening my space to others, it's essential to take a moment for introspection and navigate the intricate landscape of my thoughts and emotions.

In my artistic endeavors, I use the canvas as a medium to articulate the complexities of my inner world. The shapes of color and form represent a journey through the tapestry of experiences, dreams, and challenges that shape my existence. Through my art, I aim to share this ongoing exploration, inviting viewers to resonate with their own paths of self-discovery.

The decision to prioritize oneself in this invitation is not rooted in exclusion but rather in the recognition of the significance of self-care and self-awareness. By first extending the seat to my own mind, I believe it sets the foundation for more meaningful connections with others. The painting serves as a visual dialogue, urging observers to reflect on their own journeys and the unique seat they occupy in the grand mosaic of life.

My intention is to convey that the table is more than a mere physical space – it symbolizes a moment of quiet acknowledgment and understanding of oneself. It's an invitation to find inner harmony and, from that place, engage authentically with others. Via my artistic endeavors, I hope to inspire contemplation about the personal space each person occupies at their own table – an encouragement to prioritize self-discovery and embrace the shared human experience.

In essence, my table is a metaphorical space that encourages individuals to delve into their inner worlds before partaking in the communal dance of shared existence. May my painting spark a thoughtful consideration of one's own seat at their unique table, fostering a connection that resonates with the profound depth of our shared humanity.
